patients who are fortunate enough to be able to experience a Reiki healing session.  Many patients oftentimes talk of a similar experience:  a calming, soothing effect, where the stresses and worries of the world seem to melt away.  Others describe it as a sense of "unblocking," many times it is described as unclogging an "emotional blockage," but it is always described in terms of a liberating and freeing effect, or a sense of returning to a healthier, more native state.  This holistic practice is oftentimes difficult to describe in tactile terms simply because Western medicine has taken on a quantitative approach with results being proven by things that are measurable with physical instruments.  Although Reiki healing does not have measurable evidence, the effects and results of Reiki energy healing are just tangible and just as concrete to those that have been fortunate enough to experience the art under a practiced hand.  The difference is simply that the instruments are organic, namely a person and all the facets that a person encompasses, and the results are measurable in the betterment that a patient will experience.  Learning how to become a practitioner is not as difficult as one might expect.  There are Reiki classes and Reiki certification, oftentimes referred to as Reiki attunement, with the first level being Reiki level 1 attunement.  Chances are that a Reiki class Los Angeles will be offered to you somewhere nearby if you live in a big city, but if not there is always the internet which makes available a whole host of resources.
